You need the latest Acrobat Reader to do use the Adobe Acrobat form
or view the Scholarship book. When viewing the
scholarship book, you can click on the left side to view
bookmarks or previews of pages. On the scholarship
form (linked below), you can tab from field to field and enter data or chose responses to drop-down boxes. For longer responses
on the form, your text must fit in the boxes. If you need to type more information, please type "see attached" in the box and finish your answers on an attached sheet of paper. When finished, press the print button and choose your printer. These cannot be submitted online. However, if you wish, you should be able to fill in your data and save it for future use. See below.
Or, use the web version (both are linked below). To fill out this form, simply move your cursor up to the first textbox. As you move your cursor over the textbox, the cursor will change into an I-beam cursor. Click on the box when this happens. Now you can type in the textbox. To move to the next box, either hit the [tab] key or repeat the above process to move.
*Note* Several of the questions on the web application require free response answers. The boxes in which you may type your answer may appear to contain as much as you would like to type. However, all of the questions will only print 3 lines with the exception of the third question, which prints 4 lines. In order to keep all of your text visible, please be brief and write only 3 or 4 lines in these text boxes. If you need to type more information, please type "see attached" in the box and finish your answers on an attached sheet of paper.
After you have completed either form, you must print it out. To do this, make sure that the form is filled out exactly like you want it to be. Then, go to the File menu, and select Print. This will print out the form onto one page and you can sign it. (If it does not fit on one page when printed, you will need to change your browser font size before printing: go to the View menu, select the Text Size section, and the Medium or Smaller option.) Change the text as needed for each scholarship application you wish to complete. Print after each.
How to use the Acrobat PDF and save it with your data: Adobe Reader makes it possible to save a copy of your form with data. Directions for saving are found here:
From the bottom of this page, right click on the acrobat version and choose "save target as". Save the file in My Documents or desktop or such. Then go to that location where you saved the file and open it (with a double-click or right-click and choose Open With Acrobat Reader. Type in all info you want to keep and save the file. Add specific information for that scholarship and print. (Save if you like.) This way, you can come back another day, open the file and do a different scholarship without typing it all in.
You can download the latest version at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Older versions may not let you save it.
